Are you an experienced Accounting Services professional ready to take on a leadership role? Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Accounting Services Manager to join their growing team. This position involves managing and supervising our Accounting Services/Bookkeeping Department, working collaboratively with our Tax and Accounting/Assurance Departments.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership: Manage a team of 7-10 professionals, providing mentorship and training to new and existing employees.
Workflow Management: Oversee and manage the workflow of the Department, ensuring efficiency and excellence in service delivery.
Client Engagement: Work on selected and/or more complex clients, dedicating 50% of your time to client-related activities.
Policy Development: Collaborate with the Partner-in-Charge to create new policies and procedures, strengthening the department’s operations.
Tax Compliance: Coordinate with the team to prepare, review, and file clients’ annual W-2s, W-3s, and 1099s. Assist in registering clients for various state taxes.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
Payroll Support: Assist in preparing payroll for businesses and household employers, including quarterly payroll tax filings.
System Proficiency: Utilize advanced proficiency in QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks online, Xero, and Net Suite.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 10 years of recent and relevant Accounting/Bookkeeping Management experience in the U.S.
- Experience in a CPA Firm is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks online, Xero, and Net Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
