A newly launched Acne Targeted Treatment Dermatology Practice on Manhattan’s Upper East Side is looking for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join its Team. They are redefining acne care by combining dermatologic excellence with the warmth and ease of hospitality. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be working alongside other Clinicians and the Practice Manager to deliver result-driven, patient-centered care.
Working Onsite on Manhattan’s Upper East Side including Some Holidays to serve their patients best.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the State of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Understanding of sterilization protocols and safe clinical practices.
- Confidence working autonomously in a fast-paced, patient-facing setting.
- Exceptional communication skills (e.g., clear, calm, and able to build trust quickly with teens and adults alike).
- Passion for changing how acne is treated and talked about.
- Acknowledge that this may not be the first time the patient has had acne and/or experienced treatment failure.
- Understand psychodermatology and how one’s history with acne can impact self-esteem.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth clinical environment is a decided bonus.
- This is a hands-on, in-person role working on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Patient Care & Clinical Excellence
- Diagnose and treat acne following the founding doctor’s protocols.
- Lead intake, assessments, and clinical decision-making for new and returning patients.
- When medically appropriate, prescribe topical or oral medications, and tailor in-clinic and at-home treatment plans.
- Discuss the risks, benefits, and side effects of medications and treatments, including extractions, peels, and pimple shots.
- Deliver hands-on treatments with both clinical precision and hospitality-grade warmth.
- Partner with the other clinicians to maintain treatment room readiness, sterilization, and safety standards.
- Document encounters, send prescriptions accurately, and track patient outcomes for continuity of care.
- Support all safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures.
Experience Design & Education
- Help patients feel informed, respected, and empowered.
- Educate patients on acne biology, medications, and skincare routines.
- Recommend science-backed skincare products when clinically relevant, always to support treatment, never to push sales.
- Balance thoroughness with efficiency, on time, never rushed.
Team Collaboration & Growth
- Collaborate closely with the Practice Manager and fellow Clinicians to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Contribute to a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Share clinical insights to shape protocols, tools, and workflows as we grow.
- Support onboarding and training of new NPs as we expand.
