Who They Are 

Our client is a busy Suffolk County Collections Firm looking for two experienced or eager Collections Representatives to join their staff. The firm has a strong emphasis on work/life balance, company culture and internal growth potential. The starting salary varies by experience ($24/hr to $28/hr) and company benefits.

This is a permanent position with tremendous growth potential! Training will be provided regardless of experience level.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Negotiate installment plans within unit guidelines to help resolve the balance of the individual.
  • Reach individuals avoiding payments.
  • Obtain dispute details for on referred balances.
  • Refer any settlement offers to Attorney for review and approval.

Ideal Candidates

  • Have strong negotiating skills.
  • Assertive, confident on the phone, able to stay calm dealing with potentially volatile individuals.
  • 1-2 years of applicable experience, preferably in legal collections.
