***** You MUST be a CMA-Certified Medical Assistant with At Least Three (3) Years of Experience in a Dermatology Practice *****

A prominent Upper East Side Dermatology Practice seeks a talented, well-spoken, patient-focused medical professional to join its Team as a CMA-Certified Medical Assistant. You must have a Minimum of Three (3) years of Experience in Dermatology. This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Working Onsite Five (5) Days per Week a Minimum of Thirty (30) Hours per Week; and Excellent Benefits based upon working Thirty (30) hours Minimum Per Week. Must be available at least One (1) Day per Week, to Open or Close Practice after-hours (outside 9am-5pm).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least Three (3) years of Experience as a CMA-Certified Medical Assistant in a Dermatology Practice.
  • Must have CMA-Certified Medical Assistant certification.
  • EMR/EHR experience, preferably with Next Tech Software.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Superior Customer Services Skills.
  • Able to Work in a Fast-paced Environment.
  • Advanced Computer Skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW

  • Serve as a medical scribe by documenting examination findings, treatment plans, and physician notes.
  • Update and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Assist dermatologists with examinations.
  • Assist with medical and cosmetic procedures, such as skin tag removal, excisions, biopsies, Botox, laser treatments.
  • Measure and record vital signs.
  • Obtain blood samples and process laboratory orders as needed.
  • Handle prior authorizations for medications and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and submit prescriptions as per physician orders; coordinate with pharmacies as needed.
  • Prepare, sanitize, and maintain exam rooms; ensure proper sterilization of instruments in accordance with safety and infection-control protocols.
  • Restock exam rooms and clinical supplies to ensure readiness for patient care.v
