Leading Philanthropic Non-profit Organization is looking for an experienced project/program management professional to join its Programs Team as a Project Manager-Programs for a Six (6) Month Temporary Assignment/Project that could go longer and/or go Permanent.

The Programs Team develops and implements strategic initiatives that advance the organization’s mission and oversees two (2) major programmatic portfolios: Effective Democracy and Next Generation (“Next Gen”) Leaders. In this role, you will support the Next Gen Leaders Portfolio. Specifically, the Next Gen Leaders portfolio carries the organization’s work through the “Up to Us Leadership Network” (the “Network”), the nation’s leading talent pipeline for fiscal leadership. By equipping college students with advocacy, policy, and leadership skills, the Network prepares the next generation with the tools and community to address the nation’s long-term fiscal challenges.

This role is working Onsite three (3) days per week (Mon, Tue & Thu) at the organization’s midtown Manhattan Offices located on Park Avenue.

POSITION SUMMARY

Currently this is a Temporary, Project-based Position lasting up to six (6) months reporting to the Associate Director, Programs. You will support the Programs Team at the organization as we roll out the full implementation of the Network including:

  • Building and deployment of a CRM system,
  • In collaboration with the Communications team, project managing the organization’s website and social media strategies
  • Supporting the Associate Director to ensure consistent program delivery across all grant programs supporting the Network.

This role is ideal for someone with program management experience looking to make an immediate impact in a dynamic environment.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Six Plus (6+) years of Program Management or Coordination experience
  •  Strong Project Management and Organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and manage and progress multiple priorities
  • Able to forge productive working relationships with managers and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong Analytical Skills and Impeccable Attention to Detail
  • Able to synthesize complex information and transform complicated issues into understandable messages
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with clear, concise, and accurate writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Problem solver with critical, creative, and strategic thinking and intellectual curiosity
  • Flexibility, adaptability, patience, and comfort with ambiguity
  • Interest in fiscal policy and public affairs and how that impacts the next generation

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Experience in nonprofit / programmatic sectors
  • Experience training stakeholders on new systems
  • Experience with CRM systems implementation or administration
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud and HubSpot

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CRM System Build and Implementation

  • Support the CRM build and customization with internal teams, as well as external vendors and grant partners
  • Help develop and execute rollout plan to all grantees
  • Monitor adoption and troubleshoot implementation challenges
  • Set agenda and co-lead all CRM-related meetings with the Associate Director

Program Communications Support

  • Support website updates and content management processes
  • Help coordinate social media strategy execution
  • Participate in communications working group meetings

Program Management & Coordination

  • Support Associate Director in ensuring key projects and all Up to Us Leadership Network systems (e.g., CRM, website, social media, data collection) are implemented, tracked and managed consistently and to the highest standards across all the grants programs within the Network
  • Ensure programs maintain consistency in delivery and adherence to established structures
  • At Associate Director’s direction, create documents and follow grant processes to facilitate and drive the organization’s administration of grants within the Network
  • Provide day-to-day support managing five plus Network grants, including:

o    Scheduling meetings

o    Setting agendas and managing follow-ups

o    Managing relationships and being point of contact for grantees

o    Ensuring timeliness and quality of deliverables.
