Financial Analyst

A respected non-profit organization located on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join its finance team on an ongoing contract basis. This is an onsite position, ideal for a mission-driven professional with strong analytical skills and extensive experience in nonprofit financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate directly with the CFO to support the organization’s financial strategy.
• Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in developing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year financial planning.
• Create and maintain KPI reports and dashboards to monitor financial performance.
• Analyze cash flow, spending patterns, and funding streams related to grants and contracts.
• Support program-specific financial planning and grant reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and funder requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis.
• Bachelors Degree, with a focus in Finance or Accounting.
• Fund EZ experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices including; AP/AR. Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger
