Our client isn’t just an investment management firm; they’re architects of the future, managing over $200 billion in Assets under Management with a commitment that extends beyond profits. Due to the organization’s growth, they seek an exceptional individual to join their Institutional Business Development team to support the sales efforts as the primary in-office contact for the team by navigating internal relationships and coordinating the project management of time-sensitive deliverables in support of new business. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, you will be a key contributor to the Firm’s success in developing and managing new business relationships with institutional asset allocators.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Business Development Managers (BDMs) in preparation for meetings and other engagements by compiling prep packs and prospect research.
- Coordinate the delivery of marketing materials and log information in Salesforce CRM in the cultivation of relationships with prospective clients.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development Managers and other internal partners to research institutional asset allocators and thoughtfully position the Firm’s brand and investment strategies to grow the distribution of their investment strategies.
- Project manage the delivery of prospect information requests in a deadline-intensive environment while simultaneously juggling and prioritizing multiple deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Events team, senior IBD relationship managers, and Administrative Assistants to facilitate optimized preparation and follow-up items for industry conferences.
- Collaborating with team members to develop territory plans and monitor progress.
- Monitor territory activity to spot trends, issues and opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage prospect distribution lists, campaigns, and social media postings with team members.
- Assist in creating presentations, training materials, and leadership team updates;
- Act as a champion to the broader Distribution team, promoting institutional business development, knowledge and initiatives.
What They Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a similar discipline
- Active FINRA Series 7 licensed
- 5+ years of experience within asset management supporting institutional clients
- Ability to understand, articulate, and differentiate between various investment styles and processes
- Flexibility and a willingness to grow and change within an evolving organization
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and an independent thinker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for working collaboratively within an entrepreneurial team environment
- Experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects
- Ability to simultaneously juggle various projects and follow-up activities while prioritizing multiple deadlines
- Interest and passion for the investment markets, finance and economics
- Strong Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

- Competitive Salary & Incentives: $120,000 – $135,000 base salary (DOE) with opportunities for a discretionary annual bonus
