The Role: Defining the Future of API Strategy
Reporting to the SVP, Head of Digital and Client Experience, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the firm’s inaugural API strategy. You will be instrumental in building and launching scalable, secure, and client-centric API solutions that enhance data access and transactions for financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the API product strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm’s broader digital transformation goals.
- Lead the full product lifecycle, from concept and strategy to roadmap creation, development, and launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, operations, client services, and leadership—to drive the successful execution of API initiatives.
- Serve as the internal and external advocate for API products, articulating their value and impact to executive management and clients.
- Identify market opportunities and client needs to develop innovative API and data-sharing solutions.
- Create detailed product requirements, user stories, and technical documentation to guide development teams.
- Analyze API performance, adoption, and usage data to drive continuous improvements and enhance client satisfaction.
- Support hands-on problem-solving, including API testing, troubleshooting integration challenges, and reviewing technical documentation.
- Champion a culture of innovation, helping position the firm’s API capabilities as a key component of its digital evolution.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record in API product development.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial services, fintech, or regulated industries, with awareness of client needs and regulatory considerations.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with API technologies, data security, and best practices for API design and development.
- Methodologies: Experience navigating both waterfall and agile product development approaches.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies.
